Pastor Scott Stroud

E-mail Pastor Scott Stroud
Scott Stroud was born and raised in Minnesota and Wisconsin. Due to an unstable family life, he moved twenty-seven times as a child. Early on he became involved with theft and drinking leading to an armed robbery in 1991, resulting in a four-year prison sentence. He became a Christian during his time there and upon his release began to minister to those still in prison. He was a barber for 20 years, owning a shop in North Minneapolis for 12 years. In his late 30s he felt that God was calling him to pastoral ministry. He attended the Free Lutheran Seminary in Plymouth, Minnesota and has since served in Salinas, California and now Elim. In his free time, Scott loves to golf, bake, and read.

Leslie Martin

Administrative Assistant
E-mail Leslie Martin
I’ve had the privilege of being the Administrative Assistant for Elim Lutheran Church since 2013.  For a little background, I graduated from the University of Washington with a Communications degree in 1991.  I married my husband, Darryl in 1993, and we have three sons.  We’ve been attending Elim since 2004, and became members in 2006.  All three of our sons have been confirmed here.
I like to volunteer, whether it’s at Elim, my sons’ schools, or their sports teams.  Around 2008, I started my passion of running.  I’m not fast, but I definitely have an addiction.
I love working at Elim.  I seemed to have found the one job that can utilize my strange and eclectic knowledge and talents.  I feel like I’m constantly learning something new.  If you have any Elim questions, please contact me at office@elimlutheran.net

Cathe Erhardt

Elim Christian Preschool Director
E-mail Cathe Erhardt

Cathe Erhardt is the Director of Elim Christian Preschool and a member of Elim Lutheran Church.  As director her responsibilities include establishing goals, plans and schedules. Day-to-day management involves working closely with the staff to create a good relationship between students, families and the preschool. Looking for ways to improve the preschool keeps her creatively busy.  As a member of Elim Lutheran Church, she loves praising her Lord through participation on the worship team.   Cathe, the mother of two adult children (and grandmother of four grandchildren!), has lived in the Lake Stevens area for over 35 years.  She teaches piano most afternoons.
